Be Targeted

Here's a little case study on how to be more targeted with your  marketing efforts.

First, a little background. Google AdWords is a great tool that can really help to drive traffic to your website. The next time you search for something on Google, check out the first few listings, the ones on the shaded background. These are all paid listings that appear based on selected search terms and other settings within the AdWords platform.

However, it's important to note that Google has international reach. People all across the country and around the world use it to find the information they're looking for. So when using AdWords to market your business, it's important to be as targeted as possible.

One of our clients serves the metro Philadelphia area, and uses AdWords to drive traffic to their website. Here is where their visitors were coming from.

Web Traffic Before Filtering

Once we re-configured their AdWords account to be more targeted geographically, their traffic shifted accordingly.

After Filtering

This same prinicple holds true for all of your marketing efforts: it's important to be targeted. Every form of media has its own unique audience, and understanding how to target your message based on geography, age, income level, and a host of other characteristics can really help your business advertise more effectively.

We understand where and when to advertise for maximum effectiveness. So feel free to contact us to discuss your organization's advertising strategy. We'd be happy to chat about your target audience and compare it to where you're placing your advertising. There just might be some opportunity to be more targeted!
